Who is Eligible?

Any person who is an active member of a State, County, Municipal, Community, Industrial, or Federal Fire Department located within the State of New Jersey and who has demonstrated proficiency as a member, is eligible to apply for a scholarship to a recognized institution of higher education.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete all sections of the Application. In addition, attach a statement of at least 250 words stating why you are applying for financial assistance and why you believe this course or degree will be useful to you as a firefighter or a fire officer.

In evaluating the applications, preference will be given to those demonstrating need, desire, and initiative. Credits previously attained in college level course should be listed, and a transcript furnished, if possible.
